93 pump stations?

I was curious to know if there is a listing of stations in the greater Seattle area that sell 93 at the pump. I know there are certain shops where you can get higher octane fuel, including race gas, but I know of a couple stations that sell 93 at the pump and was wondering what else might be out there.

The 2 that I know of are as follows:
- Chevron on the corner of Ballinger Way NE and 15th Ave NE in Lynnwood (edit - I suppose this might be considered Mt Lake Terrace)
- Shell on the corner of SE 32nd Street and Richards Road SE in Bellevue (close to the Factoria Mall area)

I used to fill up at the Shell listed above but when I got a road tune from Al about a year ago he said that it was some of the worst knocking he had seen. I seem to get good results from the Chevron listed above (I know my mpg jumps!).

While I don't mind mixing race gas with 92 it is most definitely more of a pain than swiping the card and going right at the pump. I figure there must be more stations with 93 at the pump in the area since there are a couple that I already know about. Thanks for any info!

Thanks for the info! That is good to note, BTW. The Chevron that I listed seems to be the same price as 92 while the Shell seemed to charge a bit extra.

I figured there would be a thread (it certainly make sense) but dug around and couldn't find anything. I think making a thread like this sticky is a great idea as I know folks would benefit from the info. Can you dig up the original and make it sticky?

A fuel expert informed me one time that 93 octane has to do with altitude. Higher elevations need higher octane to reduce knock. You'd have to talk to someone that knows fuels to get intricate details tho.

Heh - that is what I thought but wasn't sure if you were suggesting I could make it sticky. Thanks!

You do realize that the owner's manual suggests running on 93 octane, correct?

^^ the manual also has you shifting into 5th at 45mph so you never really get into serious boost + the over rich fuel condition from the factory means that in a stockish car you can run on less than 93 just fine.

My apologies for not being more clear. I'm not saying you can't run on less than 93. I couldn't understand what the previous poster's first sentence was indicating and assumed they were stating you would only want to run 93 at altitude to reduce the knocking. I was not sure whether they knew the manual suggests running 93.

Edit - thanks for keeping me honest.
