i have a bone stock gg xi..
the cel is on at 35231 miles..
then i did the oil change, /w transmission oil..
after the oil change , the shop guy told me that they dun have the instrument to switch off the cel...and it will be on every 5000 miles..
however it is on after a day again..

i've been told that if the gas cap isn't secured properly that it will throw a cel, I'd try that if everything is otherwise stock

 

Also if you happen to have a tactrix you can also. Just use scantech software.

kragen...lol schucks/kragen/checkers are all the same. in the West coast its schucks. but yes, they do it for free, I hated that part of the job. ppl coming in complaining about their cel and the problem was their gas cap wasnt screwed on tightly..blah

The cel shouldn't turn on every 5000 miles. Either it stays off or on untill you fix something.
