AMS DP-Back Exhaust
AMS DP-Back Exhaust
New price $150.00 picked up!
I have a USED AMS downpipe-back exhaust, which is in good condition, and sounded great when it was on the car. Took it off a friends car to go back to stock in trade for some other goodies. It has been sitting on the side of my house for the last 6 months (It is covered). I would like to get $375.00 picked up, but I am open to offers.
Here a couple of pictures I snapped. I am sorry it is kinda dirty, but it is to effin cold here to clean it up.
(It has a heat sheld from the original cat, but it is only a "dummy" (Straight pipe, no cat)

Magnaflow muffler, and magnaflow resinators

It looks like what you have is an exhaust that was made to mate up to an AMS downpipe.
If this is the case, then it would be easy to understand why you are confused with the name of the exhaust. For example, a cat-back exhaust is designed to mate up to your cat and cover everything back of it. A downpipe-back would mate up to your downpipe and cover everything back of it. A turbo-back would mate up to your turbo and...You get the point. So, with that being said, someone probably had an AMS downpipe and they had an exhaust made to mate up to it. Then, they sold it as an AMS downpipe-back exhaust. However, the true meaning of it got lost somewhere along the way.
That would me my guess.
