Is that cage SCCA legal? I assume it's a 6 point bolt in. I've been debating caging my car, but I need to get my hands on the correct SCCA rulebook before I start digging on what I want to do. Real men weld in, but I'm not that real...yet. I've been quoted $1500 - $3500 for a welded in cage, depending on configuration, but I want to make sure it's legit before I start. A bolt in would make life easy.

Not positive. Probably would need to be welded-in to be legal for actual door banging SCCA racing. With this car all I will be doing is HPDE/Schools/lapping days etc

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, I don't want to do any more than that either, but I wouldn't mind to go into some SCCA time trial stuff, I'd just hate to learn the hard way (again) that you have to have a rule book when building a car. I screwed myself on my last 'racecar' because of engine modifications bumped me into near cost is no object classes. At the time, $12/hr = cost is an object. Now I make a little more though

I don't think the rules for cages are as strict for their time trials as they are for reg SCCA road racing. Let me know if you find out. I know I read up on it a few years ago on their site somewhere

^^Have you looked at Shearer kits? I am not sure if they offer the HTA option but I have seen one of there kits. It is probably the cleanest fabricated turbo kit I have ever seen. It costs about the same as AMS I believe. Heres some pics of one members: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=277339.

It is a good looking kit, for sure, but I already put a deposit down on the PeakBoost TopMount kit
