I got a quote for an 04 Evo GSR, and it was only going to be like $5 additional/ month for me.

 

My advice is hopefully you or your parents own an older car. Have them put you a a primary driver on that and secondary on the evo. Either way you are going to have to be under your parents name not to pay under $500 a month around here..especially at 18. I have a pretty decent record and under my stepdads insurance having my primary car be a 1992 integra I still pay $220 a month and I'm a couple years older than you. If I was primary driver of my evo it would be about $325 a month. On my own insurance...well thats another story
