Woot! SRP will remain a road course, drag strip and circle track. Spokane County placed the winning bid on the land this week. There has been some rumor that they want to have cars back on the track within a month or so......Whether that happens or not it is just nice to know that we'll still have the track.

FATT can resume. I gotta see about getting a group together for the track instruction course, I think through the BMW club, so I can get some guys out on the track. I promise I'll keep my slow Fit off the track for now.

 

I heard airway heights was bought out by the gay *** casino. Is that true? I used to love hitting up Friday night drags.

Didn't realize it was called SRP...I thought that was the other Spokane track...my bad I guess.

Its back up for discussion with the County Commissioners. Sounds like the County feels they can turn a quick buck if they sell it. On the agenda for a meeting taking place right now.

the track needs to be listed as a historical piece. Otherwise it will be sold for development, or more likely, parking for the casino down the road.

 

Well the good news is the parties interested in buying it are racing teams, so hopefully it will at least remain a track.

 

Yeah the Kalispel Tribe I think quickly realized that there are more people out there with deep pockets that are interested in keeping it a racing facility than they anticipated and sounds like they didn't really put up much of a fight.
