Gauges

I'm planning to relocate the radio and install 3 gauges in its place. I've searched on brands of gauges but there doesn't seem to be any consensus except "Defi rocks". So I though I'd ping the local community.

I'm looking for accurate, reliable gauges at a reasonably low cost. I'm considering Autometer, Stewart-Warner, ProSport, maybe VDO. Anyone have experience with these, or gauges in general?

thanks!

I had defi's and they were very nice. But I switched to autometer and put them in the radio din. Defis were a little to big and flashy

i wanna say defis cause i have them but honestly they are gauges that are cheaper, albeit less accurate what you should do is sit down and decide how much you are willing to spend, what functions you need the gauges to have and how accurate you need them to be. with these in mind hit up any of the reputable shops in the northwest( worldone, ETS, English Racing, ETC.) and they can set you on the right path

I have red Defi BF's. With the Gruppe S center mount for 3 60mm gauges. Its definately nice and they are easy to look over and see and match the interior well. Its also nice to be able to record and see you peak and everything. They seem to be pretty accurate. Once I install my Zeitronix and 3bar Map I will really compare their accuracy.

Edit: Btw what gauges do you need? I would opt for the one digital Zeitronix gauge which reads AFR, Boost, EGT and is dead nuts accurate as it reads medical grade sensors.

Not to mention that the "flashy" is a big detriment when it comes to smash and grab crooks! I can't count the number of people I know that have had their Defi Ambers removed forcibly from their cars
