tb exhaust questions?

I'm thinking about jumping on the mod wagon with my evo. It is a 06' apex silver IX SE with 16k miles. The car stock is amazing and is a constant thrill to drive, it is my favorite car to date and I've had a few. Looking to do just a little modding like a TBE, lowering springs and then to English Racing.

Questions
1 Leaning towards the Works TBE, seems high quality and like the thermal
coated downpipe because of the close proximity to the acd. Can anyone
vouch for the system.

2 I live in one of the emission required county's, will the high flow cat setup
pass emissions when my 5 years come up. Some people with the Evo 8's
have you had to cross that path yet.

3 Does anyone have any experience with the Works 9 lowering springs or any
other brand. Does the suspension become alot harsher or is it not to bad.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Doug

1) Works makes really quality parts that area as good or better than OEM. everything should fit as good or better than stock.

2) u should b fine wth emissions bcuz they plug into the obd port under ur dash. just make sure ur CEL has been off for at least 50 miles b4 going to emissions.

3) not sure on their springs but me personally i would avoid them. if ur set on springs, make sure they don't interrupt suspension travel from the lowering. there are some other parts to add from Whiteline u may wanna look into if ur gonna lower the evo more than a 1/2 inch...

get the 3" stealth kit Lucas English is selling or the ETS 3.5" kit. You will not be sorry. Works is way overpriced for what they offer, when you can get the same results for less. Not saying that they don't put out good products, but why not get the same results or better for cheaper?

If your state does emissions testing with OBD2 cars you will likely not pass with a HFC.
