The Winding Road

So I moved out here about a year ago, and my love for cars and driving has grown even stronger. Since I've moved here from WI, I have purchased an Evo IX, been to all the different car events, and even joined Northwest Evolutions Team. Another group that I have joined, which I joined with my brother and his RX8, is the RX8 started group, The Winding Roads. Chris the man in charge of putting on these runs, dedicates his life to finding and driving some of the most extreme, kiss ***, and most beautiful roads in the Washington. The group has been doing runs every last sunday of every month for almost 3 years now. It started off as a RX8 club, and grew into much more... Now you can see anything from BMWs, Evos, STIs, G35's, and even sometimes a ricer if it's equipped with the right suspension. My bro and I have done 4 of the last runs, and have always had a great time and can't wait for the following months run. Chris that runs the show, is pretty serious about what goes on behind his lead car, and does not tolerate any racing between cars, but he does know how to have fun. We usually spend most of our time going between 50 - 80 mph driving through narrow-winding-country-side roads, most of the time ending up at the top of some mountain, or driving until the road ends at water. Chris puts together a booklet with detailed map, and description of where we are going. He also has a website that shows past events, and upcoming events, with maps and pictures.

I think I've done enough talking, but if spending one Sunday a month, REALLY getting to know your car on the open road is something that interest you check out www.the-winding-road.com, and feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Next run will be 9/28, so check it out, and see if you are interested.

I will post some pictures of our last run soon. We ended at Hurricane Ridge, in the Olympic Mountains... I got some awesome shots, and the drive was AMAZING!!!

PEACE

There hasn't been any bikes on the last 6 runs that I have done. you would have to check with Chris who runs the group. you can get his contact info on www.the-winding-road.com

Peace!
