English Racing Dyno Day.
I'll make the drive back out to WA for another great day of dyno tuning with Billy and the ER guys...I wish...I couldn't even do that if I had the time, the Evo is down in the shop, but she'll be back up Thursday!
Miss ya guys, home is nice, but kinda boring...and hate to say it but I hate the track here, not as nice as PIR.

Why is my car down, hmmm....not the clutch thankfully...
Highlight for cliff notes (went through a huge puddle on an unmarked construction road, ingested a bit of water, engine blew up few days later, being fixed because I'm a lucky SOB)
Car is down because I went through water, got a little in the air intake and fractured/weakened one of the rods in the motor. It held for about 8 days (2 of those days the car was down getting my Exedy Stage 1 installed) and then it blew up in the morning on the way to work. Click here for pics (note you MAY have to sign up for access to this post, not sure, don't quote me). Either way, I ended up with a hole in my short block (#4 piston) and when the rod blew it took 8 valves and my cams, etc out with it. In short, it toasted my whole motor in about .5 seconds.
So, lucky for me I have a good friend who is a mitsu tech and I have an awesome mitsu dealership local to me. Brought the car there, put a stock exhaust on it, took off any obvious mods (heh, the under tray saved me some trouble here Billy! Hid the LICP, DP, etc) and had the north east rep check out my car. He cleared it for warrenty work, but not without my guys at the dealership fighting for me.
I'm pretty lucky here, because even though this wasn't my fault (the water I went through was during a huge storm on a road that was under contruction without ANY signs saying so in a flash flood trying to get home) it is deff not warrenty work, but they helped me out a lot.
I should be getting the car back tomorrow (crosses fingers, its been over 3 weeks without it!) and I'm pretty excited. Sucks that it happened, yeah, but at least it happened here, not in WA because with the dealerships out there I would be screwed. Then again I would have just dropped the car off to the guys at ER and let them have their way with it.
Sorry for going off topic! But thats what happened!
