If the car was maintained well, you should be strong through many miles. How many miles does it have on it as of now?

Oh, you were serious when you said a lot of miles haha. Yeah, I would stay away from it just to avoid the head ace that could easily come along with it. Keep shopping, you regret it.

how much do they want for it? It all comes down to how it was driven in those miles.

+1! Even if it's an '03 it's still just 5 years old, which would mean it's seen about 27,400 miles a year. At that, it would mean 75 miles per day for every single day of the year. That kind of mileage is almost impossible without significant freeway driving. I'd personally prefer a well maintenanced high mile freeway car to a low miles version of the same that's seen any hard driving because wear and tear is super low cruising at freeway speeds in top gear.

I think they want 16k for it, if i remember correctly. It's the red evo? Just check it out really good before you pick it up. It's not a bad price, but if you check the carfax it was sold at an auction so you can prob negotiate the price a little bit more.

I have seen 03 evo's like that one with less miles (under 70k) go for the same price.

I believe this car is an 05 RS with 137,xxx on it right?

Keep us posted if you get one!

Michael

As long as it was serviced correctly and on time, i'd say go for it. I've seen plenty of older 80's cars that were cream puffs and rock solid that had 200k+ miles. The owners made sure they were taken care of. If they have documented car service history, and it's solid, it doesn't hurt to try it out.

i just bought a 03 with 70k miles for 15k. Original owner and original clutch... never modded. I think i got a good deal but the problem is i feel like i am doing a little bit more maintenance than i would of liked to. Timing belt, clutch, tires. I would just make sure the guy took car of it. Im a little worried about my engine but we will see how it pans out.
