I gotta fix my rear license plate. since I got the JDM rear the factory USDM license plate holder will not fit right anymore.. I've tried to bend the holder a little but still not perfect.

I wouldnt use the crash beam. It's rated for 2.5mph crash so save the weight. I heard people just cut it and weld it.

Actually thats not true. They might say something, but in court, that will not hold up.

IMO you should keep your rear beam. It may not help in a collision, u may not get caught by your insurance company, but why risk it? U can have a shop cut the arms off the beam and reweld the plates (it pulls your beam in against your car two inches allowing the ix bumper to clear. It LOOKS oem.

Also, you don't need to cut or weld your liscense plate bracket. I drilled to small holes, bent it, and riveted it a little higher, pulling the plate up and making it look perfect.

I used this link below. Page 5 has some nice pictures of how to modify the bracket

And for everyone just spouting off advice with out offering any solutions....this is why this forum is getting away from helping members out

I got my rear crash beam modified by XAS, they had cut and re welded with amazing welds and re sprayed the beam to original color to clean it up all for very cheap, fitment after was impressive, looks like it never been touched. I highly recommend them for this.

I bought my evo rear ended and the owner did not have a reinforcement on at the time and the insurance said nothing. But you do need it on there helps to not crush the rails like it did to mine and helps not crush the floor.
