i valet once watched him parked it...and before i got out of my car i turned my meth off also....i hate valet....

i also got into a verbal fight over valet. he said i had to have a my car valeted even though the sport was right in front of me....i was like ill pay you the fee if you let me park. he said NO....i said, "u think im going to let you drive my EVO, I know what valets do...." alot of other stuff was said..(plus the club was right next to a major highway that a lot of races go down on.) then I parked like a block away.

The reason some places wont let you park yourself is for insurance reasons. The whole lot of cars needs to be parked by them. You can't even go to your parked car to get something unless they follow you or get it for you.

Valet mode is useful, but 3000rpm is enough for an idiot to crash your car. WALK!

I agree with some of you, I'd rather park the car myself or walk then to let someone else drive my car. I was telling some of my friends about my opinion of having someone else valet park my evo was something I was not going to let them do and some response I got back was "whats the big deal? They do it day in and day out" or "what makes your car so special?" and I just wanted to hear what you all thought of this. I am so glad I am not in this alone...I mean is it just me? But this is about my baby we are talking about here...my racing evo...which I don't do on the streets btw. I am going to park my car and walk. They are building a new parking structure and it won't be finished until February 2009--i don't care, I am not going to let someone else drive my babiee

It is easier to drive being that its a twin clutch SST....still--stick shift or automatic...its an Evo . Thank you for your response

Hmm...bribe the valet attendant--how sad that we have to do that to have things done the way we want but that is life right?! I will ask the attendant if I can park it myself, if not--then hell no am I going to let him park it for me Thank you all for the great advise and story. Keep it coming, I love to read them

I went to a wedding with my gf a few weeks back and they had valet parking. We have a running joke about a school her father runs, and how I won't pull off onto the grass to let other cars pass on the campus...I instinctively say a very firm "no." Welp, when I saw the valet I said "no." and proceeded to park it myself.

What happened? Did the valet guy let you park it yourself? And hell no -- I would not pull of to the grass just to have someone else pass me either unless it was urgent or something.
