Ok so a local mini truck club here in Portland is holding a fundraiser for a show that they will be having in August of 2004.
Its a Poker Run and for those of you who dont know what a poker run is ill give a little discription.

You start at one location and you are given a playing card. There are 4 other stops along the way were you pick up another card. And at the final stop you are given one last card.
So in the end you have 5 cards and who ever has the best hand wins.

They are having a mini show, awards for club choice on best ride car and truck, and awards for best and worst hand.

Sept. 20th, 2003
Registration begins at 8am till 10am. There will be a starting point in Washington and Oregon. All proceeds go to the show held on August 14th, 2004.

First stop Oregon: Mikes Drive In, Oregon City, OR
First stop Washington: Behind Burgerville, Salmon Creek

There are stops in between. Final stop will be Rooster Rock State Park where there will be food and beverage for sale, as well as a raffle and trophies.

Please remember this is not a race.

I know that this is the day that we might be having our last GTG but it might be fun to show them what some nice cars look like

That sounds hella fun! Doin ish like that is just as bad *** and sometimes more fun when theres a lil competition style goin on...Ill try n get that day off to come out n play

 

Ya I talked to one of the guys in the club, and they said that we should make a turn out. I was thinking that if it was something we might be all interested in we can have our last gtg at Rooster Rock State Park. Theres lots of parking, a beach to play on, tables and bbqs. This is totaly just an idea but it might be fun to have a little competition befor a good old bbq.

Also just a thought, if any Lancers are coming down from Seattle or Tacoma areas maybe we can all drive together?

And Finally would this count as an out of area meet towards my Team Lancer NW application?

I'd be down for that. We should try to plan a club gtg in the area of the final meeting place, or at that place even, and we can have our last summer gtg there.

 

The final meeting place for the poker run is Rooster Rock State Park. We can have it there if we want to

Sorry to say it, but I'm gonna be tied up all morning with family functions. Depending on when things wrap up on my end, I can either hook up with you guys at the finish or whatever we plan for that weekend.

First stop is "Behind the Burgerville on Salmon Creek" Exit #7 off I-5
At the first stop light take a right onto 99, turn left, and go behind the Burgerville.

Turn left onto 99E (towards Canby), turn left on 14th, followed by an immediate right
onto main st. Turn left on 10th st, go up the hill, and turn left into Mikes
