Clutch fix???

There was a huge post in the Evo forum and I was wondering if anyone locally has done this cheap mod? Replacing the clutch line with the steel braided line, and also removing the restrictor? Please let me know, thanks a lot.

bigd,

Yes I am going to do it myself, it seems very easy except for the fact that some of the places are very hard to reach but I've done plenty of stuff like that before

I just did the clutch mod last night. The results are pretty nice. More feel and less syncro crunch. Poping out the restictor was super easy. The hardest part was with my clutch line. The end that goes to the hardline has a 8 point nut, which doesn't fit in the mount that holds the line. So getting the clip back in that secures the line to the mount was a pain.
Also don't pump our clutch pedal with the slave disconnected. I was doing a combo bleed of hand pumping the slave and pumping the pedal. When the air was gone the pedal pump made enough pressure to blow the slave appart. It went back together but blew brake fluid all over the place.
