My BOV makes a wierd noise

I just installed an HKS Super Sequential BOV. It makes a really wierd drum roll sound, but the local shop said it was installed correctly. I heard that there are fluttering BOVs, but it doesn't sound right. Does anyone have this type of BOV or have heard of this before?

R u sure it's on the right pipe? A local shop messed up on my friend's and put it on the maf pipe instead of the upper IC pipe. It fluttered really hard and fast.

is the BOV recirculating or vent-to-atmosphere ?

The vavle is vent to atmosphere. If there is a little back spuder noise that is ok but if it sounds like a drumline is going off in your hood you might want to go get it checked by another shop. Or beter yet learn how to do it yourself and gain experience

I have it on mine. You're going to get a different sound from it depending where your rpms are. It's sounds totally different at lower rpms and louder near redline. Make sure the shop plugged up the bottom hose tightly, so it doesn't leak. You also need to play around with the screw on top. Hope this helps.

I cured the problem. I put the BOV on the wrong tube, but I also turned up the boost today and it blew it straight off the tube.

NOW I AM RETARDED

The only problem I had with the BOV VTA. Was coming off boost going to stop signs and when it did that there was never any stalls. It would just drop to about 200rpms
