OTR before the action started
My weekend started out at Portland International Raceway on Thursday at about 2. I met up with a few friends and talked to some teams that i haven't seen since Olympus. There was a lot of pictures being taken and catching up with old friends before the press stage began.

Ken Block and Tanner Foust

Matt Johnson and Travis Pastrana

Travis getting some help putting on a wrist band
As the press stage began Scott (Rallydsm) told me that he had arranged for me to go for a ride along on the press stage with Pat Moro.

Pat is an amazing drive and truly scared the living crap out of be the entire way around the course. I don't think I have ever had that much fun in my life. I really Want to thank Scott, Pat and Ananda Siverts for making this happen for me.
After my ride i was walking back in to the pits only to find this.

ACP had a small encounter with with a tree on the press stage taking out the passenger side fender and headlight as well as damaging the coilover on that side. A few of us quickly sourced ACP the fender and headlight he needed and had the parts delivered from English Racing with in the hour.

The Fender came off of Paul Nelsons 8 second drag car, showing everyone what racing is all about: Helping your fellow racers.

The fender received some of the cars wrap.

The coilover was fixed

Codriver Robbie Durant set the suspension back up properly. And the car was back on the road.

The next morning we arrived back at PIR at 11 am to find all of the teams arriving

Jimmy Keeney / Melissa Keeney Driving to PIR Friday morning.

Bill Lockwood's 2011 Ford Fiesta. Bill through a Fiesta Tail Gate party with Matt Johnson at one of the spectator areas on Saturday, witch will go down as one of my favorite rally memory's of all time.

The car of Mark Mager and Miller Dumaoal

Carl Jardevall and Jason Grahn heading off on the parade lap.

Andi Mancin and Maciej Wislawski

After the parade lap on Friday i put my camera away for the weekend and picked up a video camera to shoot for a friend.
The stages were great this weekend, I really could not have asked for a better rally! If you guys out there have never attended a rally, this is something that you need to do. It is an event like nothing else out there.

I can't wait to go to Colorado this year to hang out with those guys again.
