I have been pretty impressed with downtown, actually. Until I watched a dog take a dump in one of those fountains my kids were playing in.

It's funny you are moving away from the Tri-Cities. It is considered one of the most booming cities in the country right now. With the government over there and a fast growing territory alot of jobs are present. I was thinking to move over there seeing pricing on housing. Hell what a decent size condo buys you over here buys a nice house on maybe an acre over there. Plus they have a WSU campus.
Definitely not excited about the prospect of leaving the Tri-Cities, and its not a certainty yet. My wife is looking at WSU Tri-Cities as well, and she could easily get one of the many government jobs that are popping up out here, but a non-research job is not where her heart is at.

Yea I would really like to finish my engineering degree over there. I have a friend moving over there to finish his ME. Jobs look prominent and housing is much more reasonably priced considered to western WA. The Seattle location is just more central to a greater portion of large industries.

I think Portland would also be good..although I don't think I would leave Tri-cities for it. Probably not what you want to hear, I would miss the hydroplane races too much.

ATM, the general theme is heavy metal monitoring and removal in people. She is branching out into studying the toxicity effects as well. NIH is the funding client.

Aww ya, the Omak Stampede FTMFW!!! It's a dry heat tho, not like a crazy 90F day here where humidity kills you. AND, it's not like you get home, put on shorts, then put pants back on after the sun went down because it's too freaking cold!

M,

It'd be awesome if you guys came to this side of the mountains. Its quite a few miles inland so its not that bad here. The winter was interesting but everywhere had the blizzard so I wouldnt think thats typical.
