They would not allow me to go to the dyno and when they came back (didn't know till a month later) that the dyno graph was not even my car and all they did was a street tune flash of Aaron's map that is the tuner for English Racing. Low and behold, they told me I could have any part 1/2 off because of what they did. To be honest with you, I have not even redeemed that because I don't want to have my car anywhere near that shop. Call and Ask Aaron about Mikey's car and the dyno that Illtech did on my car. ****ed up!!!

Freddie is right! You get what you pay for and the good thing is that English Racing is fair on pricing and better than most places and the service is unparallel to that of other shops! If you don't go to English you are asking for problems down the road and more money in the long run too! Good luck and if you have any questions let Freddie or I know. We have tons of stories for you!

I had the same problem, I went to English last week and it was in fact my balance shaft out of phase, trust me, i took my car to 3 different shops and a tuner and none of them could figure out the problem, I took my car to Aaron and Lucas and it took them less than a minute to find the problem. The 200+ miles drive was more than worth it for me! Aaron and Lucas are the best guys around hands down they will sit with you and diagrose the problem, they will explain what they will do to fix it and answer any question that u might have no matter how simple or difficult it may be. I got 60+whp while i was there for that visit, they wont dissapoint and the price they charge is more than fair for the quality work that u get. I plan on going in very soon for cams/10.8 hotside/o2 housing next!

+1 English Racing

Heck yah im interested now! I trust Eric. I had a couple base pulls lowest was 190whp and highest was 220whp after I added the Buschur intake and finally tuned it in conjunction with my turbo back exhaust I'm at 288whp and 281tq @24psi. Not bad for first mods My goal eventually is 400whp and some decent torque#'s would definatly be a + also I have the dyno sheets, just cant figure out how to upload them on here

Yeah I think I've made up my mind on the S2's because it would fit better in my upgrade path to an FP Red

Guys thanks for all the props. Illtech didnt tune the car actually Mikey, we discussed that. That was all Pina on that one, they had sub'd it out. I dont want to dicuss whose shops do what but that part wasnt them

...and in other news, I think I had mentioned to Udo on the phone that bouncing the rev limiter on meth and then the resulting sound indicated probable failure.

yeah about the bouncing the rev limiter. We found what broke. Apparently the ticking sound I was hearing was the sound you get after your balance shaft drops a bearing into the oil pan. I found a new engine and trying to figure out what I am going to do next (and what I can afford to do next) Thanks much for the phone consult!! I may need to borrow some more phone time and discuss next steps (if you don't mind)

thanks again,

Udo

O ya... that's right! It was the State Trooper that works for them. my bad.

I'm packing and getting ready for the trip down to Portland tomorrow. I'll give you a call around 3ish when I get near Seattle and have decent cell service! The next two days are going to be magic time! lol have a good night!
