Any recommends for shops around seattle?

I may have a nasty problem with my engine, anyone got any decent shop recommends for people who can rebuild the motor and/or diagnose/fix a bottom end issue?

I wouldn't go anywhere other than English Racing for a rebuild. They are down in Vancouver, WA though.

+1 hands down! Well worth the drive/tow. I have done both more than enough times and I'm 2 hours North of Seattle. Call and talk to Aaron.

There are not really any good shops near Seattle. You will be glad you took your car the extra miles and went to English.

wow, no kidding a little bit of English Racing love. but that is another ~250-300 on top of whatever is going to have to be done. The shop I have taking a look at it right now told me that my balance shaft is seized. Apparently it stripped the teeth off of the belt. Lame.

I have my opinions on shops in Seattle, but that is niether here nor there... If you want it done correctly, and not slopped together English should be your choice. It is your money either way, but don't say we didn't warn you if your not pleased with the service and experience... aint that right Mikey!

no you're right, I don't want to have to spend a lot more money and frustration on a shop if I don't have to. Pretty strong following for English here I'm sure with good reason so I'll trust the people here who have had this work done before.

Thanks everyone for the help and input. much appreciated.

Most of the opinions here are gauged off people who have been burned in the past by local shops, only to end up taking their cars to English and having them redo most, if not all of the work again...

I'm from Bellingham... when I need something done to my Evo that I can't/won't do... it's to English. I don't need someone that is up and coming to work on my car... I wan't people who eat, sleep, and race Evo's.

And I'm one of those people... Illtech in Tacoma started working with me on my car. 1st. They over charged me. 2nd. They have horrible costumer service. 3rd. They don’t know what they are talking about. 4th. They would not allow me to go to the dyno and when they came back (didn't know till a month later) that the dyno graph was not even my car and all they did was a street tune flash of Aaron's map that is the tuner for English Racing. Low and behold, they told me I could have any part 1/2 off because of what they did. To be honest with you, I have not even redeemed that because I don't want to have my car anywhere near that shop. Call and Ask Aaron about Mikey's car and the dyno that Illtech did on my car. ****ed up!!!

Freddie is right! You get what you pay for and the good thing is that English Racing is fair on pricing and better than most places and the service is unparallel to that of other shops! If you don't go to English you are asking for problems down the road and more money in the long run too! Good luck and if you have any questions let Freddie or I know. We have tons of stories for you!
