Hey aaron,

1-5 feels fine. No problems on the track, no problems as a DD. It was after the 3rd or 4th session that I reached for R, and felt the glue.

I'd definitely bring it your direction if it needs any serious maintenance... ER will always be the only shop to lay a wrench on my car!.. other than oil changes I'm just hoping to get a diagnosis first.

AARON!!! I blew 3rd and 4th. Grab that 5speed for me. 3rd and 4th are just like the OP is explaining. It feels like stirring a vat of peanut butter. Have a lot of thing that need some attention right now. Thanks and let me know what you think. Also any word from Scott, and we need to chat about me going ECU Controlled boost. talk to you soon!

Well this makes the 2nd time I have blown a 6speed tranny . I guess I'm just good at breaking ****! The thing is, my roomy (His name is Mike too) has an 07 STI with 350/378 and I drive his car just like I drive mine and the STI never breaks. Matter-a-fact Mike drives his STI like its a true rally car, and the Evo that I baby falls to ****! I have the worst luck. Now all i need is to blow my motor

I've yet to hear anything good about the 6 speeds. . I think I'm going to avoid the X MR because of the same reason.

I hear the SST sucks, but it sounds like the theoretical limit will be reached in a hurry. I still like my 6-speed, but we'll see what happens with the next batch of upgrades.

I'm trying not to blow the wad so that I have some reserves for a possible tranny build that could come sooner than later.

If you say it, it will come! And I think Mo might have the worst luck, at least of the last month or so.

SUCKY!!!! I will start looking for some 5 speeds. I think I have a line on one right now so I'll see where that goes.

I dont disagree that John does a good job, but we do build Evo transmissions that have continued to survive 1050+whp. We are also within 5 hours of both the OP and BLKCarbon, so its a little more practical for us to take care of it.

This will probably make most cringe, but I was wondering if you have rebuilt a stronger 6-speed, Aaron? At some point I'm going to need a rebuild I'm sure, but I do like my 6-spd for all the hwy slogging I do.

I know it is possible but I'm not sure how practical is. I'm sure the right 5th gear would give me what I wanted and still ensure a stronger build, which would ultimately be my main goal at that point in time. Just figured I'd ask if you guys have done it, as I rarely see posts regarding this.

Not to put words into English Racing's mouth, but they've done it all. I'm sure they'd be able to take care of your 6 speed just fine.
