Anything going on this week? You guys wanna take the North End Meets back up to the "north end"? I'm more than happy to keep these meets within 5 minutes of my place.

^???

I should be good to go somewhere tonight - as long as there is more notice of people showing up! Or tomorrow, if people can't do tonight.

It's too nice out for pho. I could change my mind if it's a really excellent pho place. I've only had decent pho around here so far.

^ Pho is just water and a few noodles, how does one classify "good" from "decent"?

It's all in the broth. When it's home made, the broth is started the day before and cooked for many many hours to extract all the beefy goodness from the bones and to balance all the seasonings. Most pho restaurants water down their broth too much so I'm not too surprised that you think Pho is just water and noodles. The slices of beef or whatever meats are added after the fact come down to personal preference. Oh, ignore the slices of jalapenos that come on the plate of veggies because they completely clash with the flavors in pho. Use the Siracha, aka **** sauce , or ask for some hot chili oil to add heat. Good places will have chili oil on the table already but many places do not.

If not Pho, then how about Paseo's (amazing Carribean Sandwiches) http://www.paseoseattle.com/index.php/menu.html

Or if you want to see what Seattle has to offer we could grab some pizza at either
Piecora's http://www.piecoras.com/
or
Serious Pie http://tomdouglas.com/index.php?page=serious-pie

Both are win.

How is the place usually determined?

This is how we've been figuring out the place lately.

Paseo is awesome. I'm 5-10 minutes from both of their locations and eat there frequently. If we decide on Paseo, we'll need a plan B also. Both locations are tiny with limited seating and the Ballard location is outdoor seating only but there is overhead cover. If it's packed and raining, we should go to plan B. My plan B is always a brewpub.

I'm down for drinks, my liver has had enough of a break since the weekend.

Need to keep it in check so it doesn't get out of line.

And I think Dan needs a few in celebration of employment!
