To anyone who has not been part of a club before. It keeps events more organized, Being part of a club is more then just meet & greets. We can put together bigger drives, discounted track days, racing teams (legal racing only), meet with other clubs, discounted parts & labor, ect.. I like just being part of something, you dont have to be a member to hang out, for those with busy shedules come when you can. Its alot of fun. I will try to post pics tonight of prevoise events so you can get the picture. It is allot of work to keep it going. But if you have a couple people take it seriose like a Prez, Vp, & envolved members its not that bad.

I'd partake when I can. Bit of a drive from here, but any big events would be cool to meet some more Evo owners.

I live in the middle of Seattle & Portland, If we get enuff Oregan EVO's interested, We can set a meet up around my place to split the drive. Thats what I use to do, worked out pretty well. Another thing to think about is we can start an Oregon chapter of the club.

discounted parts and labor? how do you swing that being just a group of car enthusiasts? and where/what shops? lol

whats the difference between a member and people making it out to the events when they can? being a member...you're obligated to attend stuff? monthly fee? just curious! lol

I used to have an FD, and as part of that club, one Mazda dealer gave us parts at cost (I bought a new engine wiring harness, retail 1200+, paid 783).

I'll definitely be at this kickoff meet if it falls on a weekend, even if it's a bit of a drive.

^^ cost? dealer cost on parts would be amazing....but i HIGHLY doubt thats what they gave! they prolly gave cost + 20% aka wholesale pricing level.

working in parts for Honda...i know WE would never give away parts at cost. Thats 0% profit margin! LOL i cant even get pricing that low! i wish i could....

but if anyone needs Mitsu parts @ wholesale +tax i can make a couple calls

getting off-topic...anyhow ill definately keep my eye on this thread and see where it goes.

Does being part of the club gain access to track days, special events, etc.?

I have just been meeting on a casual basis with people this last year, went to a couple bbqs and a cruise, and it has seemed to work rather well. BTW - I'm not knocking the idea in any way, just not getting it I guess. Maybe it would help to understand what this consisted of during its prime. Thanks!
you get an oval office! monica not included!
