By definition the end volute will be smaller if the open area of the flange is smaller given the A/R is left the same and you add a divider in the turbine housing.

Result: you'll end up needing a larger A/R divided housing to match an Open housing in terms of end volute cross sectional area.

^lol - I forgot you were the OP. Did you ever get a ride for comparison? Are the reds pretty well stocked now, or did you get it used, and is it the 80mm? Congrats on the purchase!

I took someone out for a spin today and they were really impressed with the smooth delivery of the power across the band. It is good to hear that when you are several steps/years away from stock!

*edit - nevermind, saw your post somewhere else re: 80mm. I think 420whp at ER is possible.

Did not get a ride, I might be able to check out blkcarbonevo's this weekend when I buy his o2 housing...

I bought the 80mm used, i had the intake pipe, upgarded oil feel line already ordered...
