Does this power graph look ok for my mods?

My signature has the list of mods for this run. The combined weight is over 310 for two people in the car. This run was done on a stock tune and stock fuel pump

What do you guys think? Does the power look okay for what I have without a tune. Is there anything in the settings for DataLogLab that I may have done wrong? Let me know what you all think. How much power will a tune bring about?

Edit: 11/04/09 Added another run and some evo scan stuff. From 3rd gear this time.

I checked the data. The fuel pump did cut off on me. I felt the car jerk for sure. It registered about 7 counts of knock. I put 310 lbs for the weight for my buddy and I this time but it only made a 1 hp difference and who knows how accurate this is.

HP seems about right, torque seems a bit low though. A tune can definitely help quite a bit, but I would suggest saving for a set of cams since you have an VIII then get it retuned once you have those installed... However, if you have the money get it tuned now, and then once again after you get cams...

It says you were in 2nd gear. Did you do a 2nd gear pull to get the results? Also, what kind of dyno is this?

Yeah I had to do it on second gear. not much room to push 3rd gear to redline.

I hope I can get around those numbers as well after the tune. It looks promising.

To Fast.Freddie & JDMEvil & gpintoevo

I'd like to get a Forced Performance Turbo (most likely the red) in the future and S2 cams but the cost of those are too expensive right now because school has started again. For now i'll save up for a Walbro fuel pump and maybe a exhaust manifold and 02 housing. I'm working on a budget.

I had to install a Walbro 255 during the dyno tuning. So you should budget for that.

What turbo you decide on should be determined on how much power you wanna make My number are on a very low ranking dyno compared to a dyno jet. If you only want like 400 to the wheels, you should go with the green to have fast spool time! Around 500 should be the Red.

On my next tune in a couple months, Im gunning for 500 with my Green on a dynojet to get the high number lol

You really need to do a 3rd or 4th gear for DLL to be fairly accurate. Thats also part of the reason your tq is a bit lower. You can go download a few DLL setup files floating around that are correct then just plug in your weather and weight to be fairly accurate.

I used one awhile back and was within about 5-6hp of what my dynojet run was. It's pretty sensitive though so don't take it's number for gospel.

Could you point me in the right direction for the setup files and how to use them? Thanks!

DLL is most likely lying to you. A stock 8 fuel pump will be out of fuel before 300whp, generally around 280 or so. Its not to say it isnt making more, it could just be really lean right now. I would suggest a fuel pump when you get it tuned.

^^^ Thats what happened to me. I was running dangerously lean and couldnt up the boost without getting the pump.

learn from my mistake and have one installed PRIOR to your dyno tune. Gives ER more time to work on tuning your car, than mundain installs.

Was your base run on the stock fuel pump?
