I feel you man. same thing happend to me on south 405 by exit #7 back in early 2006, got rear ended and pushed into the car in front of me. Driver behind me got cited and took about 2 months for repairs. damage was only 14,500. yeah i never liked insurance companies, they act all nice and willing to help you in any way at sign up but an a** to deal when making a claim. just speaking my mind.

State of Washington the one in back pays for the car in front of them, chain reaction all the way thru the impacts. So, by our state's laws, you're techincally responsible for the Camry and the front of your vehicle damage. The arguement used by the state is all based around following distance, saying you were too close or you wouldn't of been pushed into the car in front. Basically you hit the car in front of you, the guy behind you didn't hit him.

It's a ghey layout of the law...

The only person that gets off scott free in a multiple rear end collision is the guy in front of the wreck.

+1

Sorry to say it, but he's right. You got it up the rear from the RX8 and the State.

One question though: you posted yesterday, the 8th of November about an accident from August 30th.... and it's STILL not resolved? WOW!!! Maybe I missed this but what insurance company was this?

Gettin' hosed or not, this has taken FAR to long to resolve.

Scott

Sorry to hear about your accident bro. I hated when you get into an accident and the person at fault has the same insurance as you do. YES those insurance people don't want to pay a penny of it but they have to so the'll give you the lesser amount. It happen to me too. My estimate was around $5K and I only got $4K out of it. Insurance They're only good when you make payments to them.

Most insurance companies look at one thing, and one thing only. Bottom line. They are in business to make money. They can really care less about indemnification or taking care of the people that pay for their policies. I deal with insurance collision jobs on a daily basis, and let me tell you..........if they can get away with paying cheaper, they will. They care not about the quality of repair or taking care of their customers. When in doubt fighting an insurance case, get a lawyer. They will weigh the payoff to make you happy vs. going to court which cost time and money.

As for insurance companies, state farm is by far one of the better companies. They refuse to use aftermarket parts on your cars if you ever get into a collision. Yes, their rates may be higher but to me as a tech, I think it is only fair to put back a factory part when they get damaged. Hell, our cars new didn't come with an aftermarkt part that says keystone on it, and we should not get one in return when we happen to get into an accident. All they care about is cost, not about you. Good luck with the outcome and do your research before you choose to sign up with joe blow insurance.
