Help Please: Need New Clutch & Install by 2/20!!!

Hi all,

Other than owning an evo for the past 7 years... I have been somewhat out of the Evo scene. My Evo is just getting past 29,000 miles (yeah I know I don't drive it much), and on the drive home from the coast today it's pretty clear that the clutch is slipping, and getting worse.

That really sucks because I have a paid spot in a lapping sessions at the PIR Grand Opening celebration this Saturday. Not the parade laps, but the real all out advanced only track day event.

Maybe this is a pipe dream... but I am hopeful that some of you may know of a knowledgable shop that might be able to get me in, get me a good upgraded clutch and get it installed prior to Saturday?

My track day is going to suck ***** if I don't get this fixed beforehand.

Please help! Shop guys or anyone please feel free to contact me on my email at:
jasonhenshaw@yahoo.com
or (503) 544-7103

TIA,
Jason

+1 for ER. I think they Jake did John's clutch in 3 hours and change, IIRC.

JW, how much does a clutch cost to change? Clutch + Labor? Assuming I want an standard one.

I want to say John paid around $750 which included labor, resurfacing flywheel, and whatever other work. That price included the tax. You would have to obviously call English for current pricing. I'm not sure if they have clutches in stock but I'm sure one could be shipped in.

even if you get a clutch by this weekend, you still have to break it in. i dont think you can make it to the tracks unless you push it and ruin the break in period.

If he drives 200miles..... (easily done in 4 hours) before that day he'll be fine.

Buy an Exedy Twin from English and have them install it.

They did mine in record time and flawlessly. Lucas, Aaron, and krew will take care of you. HIGHLY recommended.

Super Highly Recommend. Just be warned. You'll be seeing farmland and cows during your wait next to a lone Chevron Gas Station in the middle of freakin' nowhere! =X

But good service. =D

Make sure you break it in, and no 200 miles on the freeway without shifting aint gonna break it in lol
