Exclamation Anyone know this car in OR/WA ? 2005 EVO MR

Is the previous owner of this MR on evolutionm ? OR does anyone know this car or previous owner ?

- I have not taken delivery on this vehicle but have signed for it.

-I want to know why they are willing to let it go for 19k with only 33k miles.

-The story goes we had taken it out for a test drive and i noticed the heat gauge pegged. The dealership took it into the shop and said it had no water, well subsequently a small radiator leak caused the car to loose all of it's water while it was sitting on the lot, and when we test drove it without any water they said we blew the head gasket.

-So it is now in the performance shop being fixed for free. So i have this dilemma, should i buy it bc we caused the damage and the car will be fine when i get it back ? Or bc this car has aftermarket parts down to the turbo it was already prone to break and may have had prior issues ? They said everything was legit before we test drove it and they think the damage was caused at that time, They claim the car was inspected by mitsu and was in excellent shape and even with mods had another 100k left on the engine.

So i am trying to find the previous owner and would like to know what was up with it before they traded it in.

Thanks

Here is the link for the car : http://www.northwestcarsandtrucks.co...rchCars=Search

and it sat on the lot and they didnt notice any leaking or puddles?? id question it. but the price is pretty close, a bit high actually (for my area at least). it is 5 years old. i was gonna pick up a mint modded ix se w/ 44k for 16500.

if you can get it for 17 id say go for it.

how do you know if it had aftermarket parts? In the link you posted it does not reflect any. Tipically parts do not cause damage, but rather how the car been tuned and driven.

do not buy that car. I was originally looking at that car it was at the nissan lot before sept and they've been switching it between the ford and the nissan lot. I went into the nissan lot back in early sept i saw the ad on craigslist and they first said they didn't have the keys to it well turns out they magically found a key for it and started it up and it idles really bad the cams in it. I didn't test drive it that night i had to think about it. The next day we went back to the lot and when you get on the gas around 3500 when it hit boost it would just "backfire" they said oh it's just tuning. I left came back a couple days later one of the sales people said oh that car the engines been blown up and it's not for sale. The sales manager nassim or whatever confirmed this and it was getting wholesaled. A couple weeks later i see it back on craigslist on their lot and nobody can tell me why it wasn't wholesaled like it was supposed to be. There's a guy that works at carr subaru that switches in the winter from nissan and he remembered me looking at the evo and said it's a complete pile of crap. The previous owner has beaten on that car very hard and it was/has a blown turbo on it. I would steer clear there are much better deals out there. I think the cf hoods fading and i know the spoiler is way fading. There's a good amount of greddy parts when i last looked at it.
