I'm not sure what the "PP" means, but the SRT8 charger does the 1/4 a little quicker than 15. I'd hope the po-po would be able to spend our tax/ticket dollars at least as good as that!

Probably Police Package.

Police in the early 90's+ used to get 'special' cars, with a cam, headers, etc back in the 5.0 days, Police Interceptor editions, but in the Crown Vic days the Police Interceptor versions were actually slower than the 'sport package' Crown Vics they sold in the showrooms due to the heavy radio equipment and unareodynamic light bar. Car and Driver did a great write up when it came out... 8.4 sec 0 - 60 If I remember right, roflmao.

Dunno how it works for them anymore... I'm sure the new Chargers were a sigh of relief to the police after the whole Crown Victoria thing lol...

im pretty damn sure the cops modify their chargers and their crown vics to an extent but i still think the evo can pull away and atleast stay ahead by hitting corners.

^most definitely. Sorry if my comment was misleading; quicker than 15 meant exactly that. The only stock SRT8 that can keep up with a stock Evo IX in a straight line is the Jeep.

The honda qoute is a good one.... so is the yellow!... it is as bright as day!
And they obvisouly need to learn to drive... a stock evo 8 should get away from a cop super quick a couple of straights and a couple turns and your gone!

Here where i live cops dont give up... there cop cars are super slow but it seems like the peice of **** ones are fetching fast? you got me?! i would run from the chargers but not the blazers and jimmy's!

I wonder how often they radio ahead or call a helicopter if someone runs from a routine speeding ticket. Why waste tax dollars on a helicopter just because some guy with an otherwise clean record ran from a 5 mph over speeding ticket?

That's funny he got caught though. Not hard to get caught, I'm sure. Or people would be running all the time. Helicopter may be too expensive to call for, but radioing another officer down the street is a piece of cake.
