okay, this has gone over my head. You went out shooting, and actual game (oblivious to the racket and smell) sauntered through the field of fire and you guys intentionally missed it?

Its just that, back in the day when I went out shooting/hunting, we tried to find the game, and shoot it.

You crazy kids do things differently nowadays.

April 10th is when I'm planning the next Meet/Cruise/Shoot out. Plan is to head out early to exit 42 off I90.

Well what weekend can you guys go?

 

I'll be at work that weekend, but if it happens on a weekend I can go, I'll have a P229 .40, and an SKS... possibly a .22 rifle or some shotguns if people want to do skeet shooting too.

 

Well guys give me some weekends you can make it. I'm moving etc the next two weeks. Picked the 10th cause it didn't interfere with other meets. I'm down for any weekend after that tho.

Um, we were shooting for a long time. Well, deal was, we tried going shooting mid-morning, and we did show up there mid-morning, but we got delayed. There was a friends of the trail cleaning crew totally picking up the place. Hauled off all those tvs and other crap people brought up there to shoot. Raked up shot gun shells, picked up the place A LOT! So, they wanted to shoo us away, but we had showed up with some trash bags of our own to pick up a bit, so instead we joined in with the clean up. Morning passed to afternoon before pick up was done, the cleaning crew left, and we could actually start shooting. They posted a no target shooting sign, haha, go figure. But since we were 'pretty cool' and they could tell we weren't going to trash the place and we had brought our own garbage bags, they decided to head out and let us do some shooting, though they'll deny any of that last part. Yeah, weren't done till like 3. Sowwy!
