$215... plus brake pads, fluid, tires, a couple tanks of gas, and the risk of piling up your $35k car in turn 2....

There are only 2 real acceleration zones, you will see 3rd gear in both, albeit briefly. Otherwise you can probably run 2nd the entire time.

Last week has a good turnout, with porsches, a few s2000's, an evo x, a cts v, and a bunch of subie wagons, oh and a pretty cool nsx.
One of the NSX guys started this last year and they were such a success, PGP decided to take them over. The informal track record for cars is 1:10.9 set by a very well sorted out S2000 last fall. A well driven Evo on R compounds could probably see 1:12s.

As far as what days you go on... From what I've heard, if you're a member, you can show up any day that isn't reserved (which means no Saturdays [rental kart series], Sundays [Winter race series]) and they will slot you in.

Look for days that say "Open practice". YMMV and no guarantees of this info, just passing along what I've heard.

Yes me and Ryon were told about the lap record being 1:10 from an s2000, the thing is, they don't really time you, and they don't put the transponders on you, so we could probably figure it out somehow for all of us to get it on, and make it a little competitive ya?

You need that stuff for the little track too!

I have GPS datalogging and lap timing in my car so it would be easy to time. If that S2000 ran 1:10.9 I'd be gunning for 1.10.0 was the S2000 on Hoosier A6's or something?

Pretty sure my car would be banging the rev limiter in 3rd gear on those straights. 2nd gear rips your face off.

We brought our own lap timers. PGP won't yell at you, just be discrete about it.

You won't tear your stuff up though. Tire wear is minimal, brake pad wear is minimal. You can probably run 5-10 PGP days for every 1 full track day in terms of wear.

The S2000 was on V710s, I think. He ran a 1:11.xx on R888s a couple weeks later.

Exit speed is very low coming onto the long straight. 30 MPH, give or take. The fastest cars (aforementioned S2000, Exige S, 430 Scuderia, etc) were getting to about 85-90 before braking.

As for lap times, the Evos and STis don't do well for the same reason they don't do well in auto-x. It's mostly turning. It's a lot of fun though, even if you're slow.

He was at a bunch of them last fall. His car is currently being converted to FI so I think it's down for a while.

Only if I can find some decent seats for the track **** before then. And figure out where the exhaust leak is coming from. And replace the clutch slave cylinder.

So, no...
