UPDATE: 5/15 Cruise and Hike.

Nothing is on the calendar for this Saturday (aside from the 2-day rally).

Any locals up for a cruise/drive?

I might be in for this if my sister doesn't come up for a visit. Any thoughts yet on the route?

don't know. not so much a tick but more of a tapping coming from the valve cover area. I hope it isn't coming from the bottom-side.

Hrmmm, is that how an Evo lets you know it's time to step up to a 2.4? Hopefully it's nothing major.

Im in for Sunday I think. If that is an option.

I havent been on the north side of Rainier this season but I know a good portion of the south side is open. Paridise road? I think. Always a Rainier Ranger presence though.

Update: the "cruise" has turned into a hike! Its just too nice outside to be couped up.

LMK if people are interested in a hike, and if so, meeting at 10am would be preferable as the mountain will quickly fill up by noon.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rattlesnake_Ridge

Directions
To get to the more popular eastern trail head (the one closest to Rattlesnake Ledge), take I-90 to Exit 32, labeled 436th Ave. Go South on 436th Ave, which passes Riverbend and Wilderness Rim subdivisions. 436th Ave becomes Cedar Falls Road. Around 2.85 miles (4.59 km) you come to Rattlesnake Lake parking lot on the right.

Count me in for the hike but Saturday would be the nicer day for a hike. Couple of showers are on the forecast for Sunday. I'm cool with 10am start or even earlier. This would still leave Sunday open for a cruise.

The 15th is Saturday.

I posted this up for the 15th because the 16th is the Formula 1 race in Monaco so i'll be busy all day with BBQ, the race and supporting games for the festivities (Formula De', settlers of Catan, etc) plus a showing of Grand Prix the movie, which was filmed during the Monaco F1 race of the mid 70's. Thank you to my buddy Chris who has a high-def 100" projection TV and surround sound... You make every race a blast!

Sorry if not everybody can be accomodated on the date. Sounds like some people want a Sunday drive so maybe those who want that can make a thread and put it together? (hint hint)
