That was me! I saw you wave as you were hitting your exit. I live down in Bellevue, but was heading up to my brothers house up near Blaine.

That is a cool liscense plate...eh, how do you like your STi? I know someone contemplating the car with another car that will soon be coming out, The VW R32...how is it on insurance too?

The R32 should be a good car but I need AWD for snow.

The STi is perfect for me. I don't plan on any engine mods so I can save my warranty since it's the first year for this 2.5 turbo so we'll see how it goes. I had a WRX for two years and made significant improvements in handling with a rear swaybar, ALK, and wheels/tires. Since I'm already familiar with the WRX I went with the STi thinking I'll be able to do the same. Now I don't know. The STi handles so different than the WRX. I'm learning to keep my foot in it through corners. It seems to require a totally different style. I'm learning. If I hadn't had the experience fiddling with the WRX suspension I would have probably bought the EVO, but i figured i'd go with the bigger engine and work on the handling instead of the other way around.

You know, it's always something. One car has the more powerful engine, the other car handles better.

My insurance is the same as a WRX. About 475.00/6 mos. full coverage. I'm 47 yo, perfect driving record. FYI, I have a CDL, so if I got a bad ticket I could lose my job so I don't mess around too much.

EVOVIII = EVO VIII (roman numberal 8) too bad there was no room for a space between the Evo and the 8

I went with the Evo since I figured adding hp with a turbo car is pretty staight forward. Making the car handle great can be tougher.

Another thing is that I could do without AC, PW, PDL, Thermometer, although I like cruise control. Having the battery in the back would be a plus too.
