Need some ideas

I think in a few months I'll be getting a double din nav unit, and doing the HVAC relocation, but that leaves me with no place to put my Defi's, which currently reside where the OE stereo would be.

Now, I've never been much of a fan of A-Pillar mounted gauges due to it limiting visibility, but after sitting in Sassaphrass' car, I realized that in the Evo it isn't an issue, and ATI now makes a complete replacement pillar for 60mm gauges so I can mount them there while keeping everything clean.

My other option is to use the factory cup mounts, and put them on my center dash area, above the clock.

Opinions or other ideas?

Also, what are peoples thoughts on a full black interior (pillars & head liner)?

If i may ask. How are you going to go about relocating the HVAC? I'm trying to make a double din fit as well..

There's a write-up in the how to section on fitting the HVAC in the lower cubby/stereo/OE gauge piece, I plan to use that and the OE double din piece from japanparts.com for the deck.

I personally would do the A-pillar; that is how I've done mine and I like it a lot. Keeping the pillar and guages black I think helps too. It isn't in the way, not overly noticeable, and close enough to line of sight when you need them.

I'm not a big fan of the dash mount. It is very obvious and looks out of place IMO. I think with black on the other pillar and headliner would look nice!

I'm thinking along these lines too.

i would suggest doing the a pillar route as well. but andrews gauges are bigger, so it may get in the way. mine are 52mm so its perfect imo. do you really need gauges man if you have the small screen that u have?
