Average Evo X Service Price in NW USA
Average Evo X Service Price in NW USA
Hello, I am travelling down to Washington and Oregon from Alberta, Canada next month. I am also due for my 50,000 km service (i think type D).
It is a very pricey service. It costs about $575 in labor and $350 or so in parts and totals around $900 in Central Alberta.
I was thinking about getting it done in seattle/portland or maybe somewhere else between Montana and Southern Oregon.
So could someone from either of those areas what an example of this service would cost.
By the way our dollar is pretty close to yours the difference doesn't matter.
Thanks

I'd say do the service yourself. We just had a bbq to rally around a local that had their 30k mile service (same as your 50k km service) as they were going to take it to a dealer. It took all of a couple hours in a one car garage.
You need to change:
- oil
- rear diff
- transmission
- tcase
- coolant
And then I think there are some belt checks, cabin filter change, and some other fluid checks (brake, ACD, not sure about AYC for the X). Look in your manual and you will see how easy it is, and how much the dealer wants to rip you off.
The fluids should cost under $200, and the labor, as I mentioned earlier, is just a couple hours. If you need to borrow someone's garage to do the work, someone might have some space to lend. G/L!

But to answer your question, I personally do not know any Mitsu dealers in WA that I'd trust. That's not to say there aren't any, but you know what I mean.
We occasionally have BBQ tech days in/around Seattle where people knock out projects like these. Offer to pick up some Crown Royal at the boarder and I am sure one can be arranged
Other than that, the only place I can recommend in all of WA is English Racing. If you are going to make the trip there, make sure you schedule some dyno tuning with Aaron.

I trust West Werks in Redmond - I've had my drivetrain fluids changed there at least yearly since 2006. Call them for a price and to see what fluids they have on hand, I'm not sure what an Evo X takes. They do have Diaqueen.

I don't have access to a garage ATM. The one I usually use doesn't have a lift or any room really. I know most of it is easy. I haven't really done any belt checks before but I'm sure its straight forward.
Where is PDX? Im assuming maybe something to do with portland? You guys have all the belts/fluids etc?
