I want to inspect 05 evolution I plan to buy in Spokane, WA area. I am from Seattle so I don't know any tuner shops which could properly inspect 2005 Evolution. It has some mods as: H.K.S. Cams & Gears, Racing Exhaust, and custome tune.
Any recommendations?

 

If you are serious about having the car properly inspected before you buy, then you need to find a way to have English Racing in Camas take a look at it.

Tell the seller you want to have it inspected and see if he will meet you with the car at English Racing and offer to pay for the inspection.

If its all good you can buy it on the spot, if not you can negotiate. Even if you decide to walk away at least the owner get a free inspection and can show that to other potential buyers.

 

I don't think anyone would drive for 6 hours for an inspection. Anyway should I ask for the compression test as well, I know it might be extra for that.

 

^It all depends on how much info you want before buying the car, and how much you are willing to pay for said information. Personally it seems like a good idea, but it might depend on the vibe I get from the owner, miles on the car, condition of the car, etc.

 

OR...you could get me a license plate and I can look it up and see if we have tuned it (or name for that matter).

If I know the car I will spill my guts.

 

I might even know who has owned it as I am originally from the area.
