How does the GPS function work on this unit? or do I have to purchase something else to hook up to it?

How does it control your ipod? can u control your sub/amp too?

 

For GPS, you need a GPS receiver/antenna and a Navigation program. Here is a link from Amazon.

After doing some research on other forums, I find the most guys use the GlobalSat USB GPS receiver(BU-353) and iGuidance for the carPC Navigation program.

To answer your question, you can control your iPod via USB, like you normally do on your regular pc/laptop. You can also control the volume of the speakers using the volume controls like a regular pc/laptop too.
