Cage Shop

Ok guys/gals, I'm looking to put a roll cage in my Evo and I was wondering if anyone had a good shop in mind that was a rated shop? By rated I mean a shop that is qualified to build a cage that will pass tech inspection at the tracks! I know a cage isn't required until i reach specific requirements but I want it anyway. I had a caged 180sx when I was in Japan and it made a world of difference. So I'm going to cage the Evo!

how much you looking to spend? a welded one from tcmotorsports in auburn should run about $3k, a bolt-in one from autopower might be good enough for ya for 1/3 that price.

I'll have to get it welded in ( i want it welded in to) because I want to keep my back seats. It will need to be worked around my interior and I want it painted (or powder coated) blue like my car. I'll check tcmotorsports and see what they can do, thank you.

I don't think they/anyone can make an approved cage that retains use of the back seats. If they can let me know, I would be interested.

Godspeed Fabrication in Auburn.

He did my back half, and he also did Ryon's back half.

His name is Robb Newby, message me if you want his number and info, he does awesome work, and its very affordable, compared to other shops hes more than cheap, for good work, and he can log book it too if needed, he has built SCCA and Rally America spec cages.

Godspeed, is right next door to TC Motorsports too, Robb has done work of their BMW Pro 3 Class cars, stop by the shop and tell him Riley and Ryon sent you.

yeah, if I have to get rid of them i will but i mostly want it for the stiffness. it would be nice if I can keep my seats and it still pass tech but if not oh well!

Just get a 4 point bolt in if you're only after the stiffness. 500 bucks plus shipping. You may not get all the stiffness, but you'll get a good portion of it, and it's reversible if you ever need to use the back seats safely or sell the car.

look at the pics of this cage, its exactly what i want and its rated at 8.50. it will allowfor the back seats to be in while DD and out for track days.
