ecuscan Q

I know a few of you do some logging, got a quick question for ya....

EcuScan is logging, at times, over 100% injector duty cycle, which I know means the injectors are too small (or possibly, from what I've read, a fuel pump deficiency), but I'm on stock turbo, and it was registering that duty cycle at only 17-20lbs of boost. Ambient was ~55-60 degrees, full WOT run to 8k in 3rd gear.

Is it registering correctly, and I need to put in my larger injectors, or is it registering incorrectly, and I need to change its bit address or something else?

Note, my wb02 was not plugged into my laptop, and I was looking at the road, so I'm not sure what my AFR's were.

don't get too hung up on the boost number, a modified car can make more power at low boost than a stock car at high boost, thus requiring more fuel. Also if your AFR is grossly too rich the demand for fuel may exceed the stock pump/injectors at low boost.

I would get the AFR to ideal and see if the IDC comes down first.

IDC does not show up correctly in Evoscan because of the scaling it uses. It reads about 10% high or so if I recall.

Ok cool deal. I found my serial -> USB cable so I can start logging AFR, I'll see what it's at.

Question 2: what is Throttle Position supposed to register at idle? I get a constant 13.xxx%.

13.333% at idle is correct.

I also finally figured out the hot start thing. Be so kind to send me a copy of your ROM and I will make the needed changes to get it stock.

I'll pull the map on the RR as soon as I put it back together, and send it to ya.

Currently I'm trying to get the hang of tuning on my WW, I flashed it to 88591715 last night. The only trouble I am having right now is the cold start problem. I'm going to go through Aplaudd's thread later tonight, see if I can't cure it lol.
