Help me find an Evo VIII or IX to come home to.

So i have been on the forums the last month and a half or so. I'm in the Army stationed in Korea. Have been looking online here, craigslist and what not trying to find a car. I know i want an EVO hands down. Looking for something close to stock so i can mod myself or if something is lightly done might be willing to go that route. Looking to spend approx $17K inc TTL. Thought i had a EVO8 lined up about a week or so ago, but was going to be too much after TTL . So if your able to help out a service member while i keep looking myself that would be great. I have family in the Renton, WA area that can check the car out. Looking to stay within 3hr radius of Seattle to go look at the car. I will be home in late Feb, so if i can pic something up now and not have to waste time on leave looking that would be great.

Thanks
Steve

I take it you enlisted? Whats your MOS? I'm a medic. I heading to Flight Medic School when i get back to the states. Enjoy basic and AIT, and be ready to deal with a lot of "hurry up and wait" while you train. haha

Joined in June O7. Re-upped last year for 6 more years . Im probably a career guy. Gonna do Flight Medic for a couple years then drop my Warrant Officer Packet and try to fly blackhawks.

get ready to be deployed pretty quick as well being infantry. keep me up to date on things and if you have any questions let me know.

Thanks for the craigslist ad. # 2 i had inquired about he wouldnt go lower than $14k for an evo that had 100,000 miles. That was the car i was talking about in the thread i asked if people would buy and evo with 100k miles.

# 3 and 4 are from the same dealer, they have i think a total of 4-5 evos for sale. I feel a little skeptical of them because of some of their ads i have seen on craigslist..though having that many in one place, would be easy for my family or someone to take a look at for me. I might have to try them after all

thanks for the look out. Im on craigslist, here and autotrader almost daily trying to find an evo. one particularly that hasnt been raped. lol

thanks for helping out as a contractor, i know that can be hell as well for yall over there.

and yes hope to pick up an evo and make it to a meet while im home on leave. I will only have 1-2 weeks in the seattle area. I'm planning a long road trip from WA to AL via CA, Las Vegas, CO, TX and some other places on my way to flight medic school. so definitely want a nice evo to roll in .

Yeah, I wouldnt pay $14K for one with 100K on it, $10-$12K if they're willing but then again Im a lowballer when it comes to used cars.

And yeah, it can be hell for us too. 7 days a week, 12-18hr days. Dont face the same conditions as you guys outside the wire ofcourse, but we still gotta hit the deck or sprint for bunkers during incoming on base. lol

Pretty open to anything, would like something around 60k miles. Least wanted color is RR. Salvage title, would have to think about on case by case basis.
