ER tune on my E

My car was tuned by Aaron of ER this last Friday night.

current mods: ETS 3" intercooler and piping, air intake kit, speed density, downpipe, testpipe, hks exhaust w/magnaflow.

It ran about 316hp, 272 ft/lbs torque at 18.6lbs of boost.... Then we added the boost controller

It ended up at 360hp, ~327 torque @ 26 lbs.

<3

So it did real good for being on stock cams! I'm sure the pony keg had something to do with this, tee hee!

They also threw some random cars on the dyno as well, including kevin's 99hp acura... ****s weak!

Awesome, thanks for posting that up, I will be heading down pretty soon, probably December. Its nice to see you were well over 300 whp on stock boost., Whats your initial impression going from some standard mods with no tune, to mods and a tune? Night and day, or just so-so, did you dyno it before he started tuning it?

Thanks guys!

The first pulls he did on it were to see what it was putting down with the bolt ons, but he had already flashed the speed density at the shop. I was already happier with it compared to stock, the main problem was that it was getting only 24mpg hwy. I am not sure if we left it on stock boost and tuned it if that would have been significantly noticeable or not besides the mpg improvement, but there def is a significant difference with what it is now to what it was last week.

It makes me happy! <3

24mpg and you're complaining? I have never got that high (even just hwy driving) and I doubt any of the members on here have either.

I got 24mpg one time, I'd say it was about 50% hwy driving. Also, my car is stock.

I average 23.6 in my car right now when its on pump. On smaller cams I have personally gotten 27 when my car was a 6 speed vs the higher 5th gear of the IX tranny. An VIII 5th gear is the same overall ratio as 6th so I think that would help a little more. The 2.4 and big cams aren't the best for mileage.

Daniel, Old school Greens are hit and miss. I think the Black will change all that though

Kristen, glad to make you a happy Evo owner

I check every fillup. Drove to Chehalis and back last Thursday and got 26mpg, going 75mph most of the way. Usually I average 22mpg mixed.
