I JUST noticed this....

Our windshield wipers are variable speed according to the car's speed. When in interval mode (all I was using) if on a fast setting, they will slow down when you come to a stop, and speed back up when you go over about 5-10mph lol.

Shane noticed it when driving my car once, but I can't remember what we found when looking to see if his 8 does the same thing....

That's funny though, like how he didn't know he could fold down his back seat head rests for the longest time. Haha.

I noticed this about 6 months ago, it seems to have 2 speeds as far as I can tell. I forget the switchover point, but I think it was either 15mph or 25mph. Also, I cant tell for sure if it only works on the high speed setting or all intermittent but I think its only the highspeed.

LOL, I just found this out recently too. I believe it only applies to the fastest intermittent.

I wonder if it is mentioned in the manual? Regardless, never read the manual anyway.

That is funny ya'll didn't know this. Our Honda's have done this so I checked the Evo when I first got it to make sure. Pretty nifty feature. And only in the highest of intermittent settings for both vehicles.

Why have I not noticed this on my Evo? I got a Rental car on Friday (new Chevy Malibu) and one of the first things I noticed was this feature, and I was like dang that would be kinda cool to have on the Evo. Well, ****!

Forsaken that is awesome... I was really disappointed when I discovered my girl's Sportback RA did this on ALL intermittent settings, so glad to know our Evos do it on one. Another cool thing the RA's do (So I'm sure the MR does with the SST as well) is that if you have the wipers on and you throw it in reverse it automatically swipes the rear windshield wiper 2 times. Kinda cool.

Lol, thought all Mitsus had speed sensitive wipers. My GVR4 has them, I believe they switch over at 25mph.

If you're in the Pacific NW, you get to test it all day everyday, LOL.

Over two years of owning mine and never figured this out.
