Anybody know of an aftermarket J-pipe?

What I mean by J-Pipe is the black elbow that bolts to the compressor housing that mates the compressor housing to the LICP. Im looking for one to eliminate the bottleneck there in the IC system (preferably a 2.5"). I could have swore Works makes one, but upon doing a search I couldnt find one.

Never seen one online before. I have heard of people getting them custom made.

Not sure how much difference it'll actually make. Anyone know??

Pretty sure it'll make a diff. Its a bottleneck for sure, down from 2.5" to like 2"-1.75". I know some FP turbos come with an aftermarket one thats pretty much a new LICP.

i am guessing the reason that basically no body makes what you are asking for is because no matter what there will still be a " bottleneck". the actual opening on turbo is like 2" all you would be doing is changing where the bottleneck happens....5 inches from the turbo or right at it

I think assault tech (who is a vendor on here) is an exoticspeed vendor. Their parts look about the same type of quality as Megan parts IMO

That particular piece looks nice, but I don't see any reason to run it, any gains you might see from it would be just as easily picked up from other parts, I guess I have never heard of the j-pipe being a real big restriction?

look at the BR licp....then look at the stock IX....not a big difference but it's a better design for sure.

You won't see much of anything from an aftermarket j-pipe. All it is is a transition piece from the tiny turbo outlet to the 2.5" IC piping. Making it transition faster could potentially hurt performance due to a loss of smoothness.

j-pipe would not enhance the performance due to the fact the distance is waay to short.

Exotic Speed parts are a bit better build quality. ES builds some nice stuff, they don't mass produce.

I havent seen a link, but my buddy has one that he received with either his Green or his now installed Black. Quite possibly just an VIII required mod since he does have an VIII. However the pipe he received clearly bolts to the compressor housing and is very long and definitly 2.5". It basically represents a full LICP that would require a 45 degree elbow coupler to connect to the FMIC.

Now another question. Upon given advise that the J-Pipe would be a lackluster upgrade (which is understandable), how lack luster would it be if the compressor housing was upgraded to an FP housing? The FP compressor housing is supposed to be an upgrade from a factory IX so Im assuming the 2" compressor outlet has been resolved on that design?

The biggest change with the fp housing is the 84mm inlet and anti-surge port. It's been proven to add about 20whp and makes your turbo sound like a jet turbine when it spools.

The one fp sells is made for them by buschur. I have one from buschur that comes with new bolts, gasket, and coupler. If you look in my for sale threads, there's pictures(I can't post them from my phone). It's brand new, I'll do 75 shipped if you want it.
