Got some damn bad luck with these Volks

So many of you know I suffered curbage during the first snow storm of the winter around Thanksgiving, then I was rear ended on Thanksgiving day. We'll today on the way to work, I was fortunate enough to hit something while switching lanes (looking back in the blind spot at the time). I took a peak back and didnt see anything so Im assuming it was a pothole where the line was. Well now I have a nice lil' shimmy and the car pulls to the right. Im thinking the front passenger side front is probably bent. Not losing air (at least not yet). Sucks, I've really had nothing but bad luck with my first set of Volks. Gonna take a closer look after I get off work and assess damage. If it is a bent rim, Im hoping either Seattle Wheel Repair or Cascade Wheel Repair can fix it. Not sure what is involved with fixing a forged wheel.

Big time

When you hit that pothole or whatever it was, could have put a flat spot in your hub. Happened to me in my VIII :-/. Took ER a while to figure it out because it didn't act like a bad hub. Also jacked up my control arm.

Well I hope thats not the case because whatever I did hit, I hit hard. Sounded like the car bottomed out and I was going 70mph, so I was like WTF was that?

Ben, I know man. Trust me, Im not ghost whippin' my car or thrashing it. Ask people who know me, I drive like a grandma most the time. Just extremely bad luck. Got a hook up on one CE28N incase I need it?

Dependable wheel repair in Renton does a darn good job with repairing wheels and bends. Ive bought a few sets of wheels with bad bends and they fix them flawlessly.

could be as simple as your alignment being thrown outawack.

its hard to find what the problem is when it comes to stuff like this. it is very hard to spot a minor bend in a control arm or whatever is bent. hopefully its just the alignment.

What would have happened if this was a set of Rotas? The forum would be ignited with "anti-rota" comments....

Sadly, no matter the price, wheels can get bent/broken and represent a major investment in the vehicle.

Hope you have good luck with the fixing!

Thanks, Ryan. I agree

Jeff, I will look those guys up. Might be a tad closer than Cascade and Seattle wheel repair as well. Im about to go get some exhaust work done and Ill have a look underneath while they got the car up. Daniel is willing to let me sport his BBS's for the time being, so I do have backup wheels available. However, if it is a control arm issue, I dont have a backup. I guess I'd better pray English has one laying around or a parts car still around.

The damage below (first pic). Just as I though, front passenger side. Must have been a pothole because everything else looks untouched.

Ill be rolling on Daniels BBS's for this weekends meets (second pic).
