Candy Coating Carbon Fiber

Anyone know a good shop/guy in the Seattle area that has experience painting Carbon Fiber. I am interested in possibly having some pieces Candy Coated (slight color under the clear) but I would want to make sure the guy knew what he was doing.

Example

Well there are plenty of examples on the net, and the pictures often dont translate well to how it would look in person. Regardless, if I can find a shop with some experience with this I will likely give it a shot.

all they have to do is shoot some clear which has a 1-5% pigment blended in. Shouldnt be hard at all.

what color do you want added? Gold would look fantastic on GG.

I was just thinking of keeping the pieces GG, but with the carbon weave slightly showing through up close. Ideally from a distance, it would look stock.

I think carbon's natural color looks better on GG than GG carbon would look on GG. It's a good contrast IMO.

Candy paints are used extensively in the lowrider world. Might want to look up some references in that community. They are different paints that are more transparent than normal paint. An option to this paint treatment is the actually colored carbon fiber products that are available now. You would have to ask a manufacturer to make whatever you wanted using that product though. Good luck and post pics when you are done.

I agree with getting the actual carbon fiber color, however, I don't think it would work for what he wants. We could get away with getting a silver one to achieve the look he wants, but for his want of not noticing cf til you get closer is probably just a paint thing. I thought the pics of the blue were actual blue cf instead of paint.
