Sorry to see Aaron, but I suppose this is the way builds go, plus it sounds like something has come up that necessitates this. So do you have an HTA86 setup that you're looking to sell?

When I bought my car a little over a year ago their "wholesale" price that they valued the car at was more than KBB or Edmunds blue book. They valued wholesale at a little over 24k. +15% you're knocking at 28's door..

When I got my auto loan through BECU they pre-approved me for a set amount. I was able to go out and buy any car as long as it was under that set price. Should be based on your income and credit score, not the value of the car you decide on.

Bank will always go off of value of car. You credit score will effect % for apr and % of what they will loan towards it. Most banks do from 100% to 115% of the value of the car.

^you're both kind of right, but NGK is more so. Banks will pre-approve you for what you initially request, assuming your credit & debt-to-income meet their requirements for your loan amount. When you actually have the car they will asses value based on kbb or nada (depending, plus it is pre-built into a system they use) since that will ultimately be their collateral if you decide to stop making payments.

As a side note, I wish I could play "Repo Games" on Spike for the Evo. "Tupan" is not a country, and certainly not the country where Kimono's are a traditional dress. Try again white trash!

Depends on the type of loan and how much you put down. BECU won't finance over the value of the vehicle (no bank will, on a standard loan), and they want a minimum of 10% down. You can make up the difference in what they'll finance to the actual price of the vehicle with a larger downpayment.

Yea I work there and people still think they know everything Totally off topic, sorry Aaron! I hope someone buys your car. Since I'll never get a ride in it now, we'll just have to build my own high whp car

Last BECU loan I had didn't require 10% down. I think it was a 4% loan? I got it lower at my own CU (1st tech) later. Granted, that was a few years ago.
