history of this evo?

Saw a 2006 evo 9 MR with 119 thousand miles on it at a dealer in jansen beach. Its GG with a crapload of rock chips on it and newer clutch. Looks stock except for aftermarket catback. Its for sale kinda cheap because of the miles. Wondering if anybody knows the history of this car. I might trade my sti in on it.

have you called the dealership to see if there are any service records on the car? it looks to be in great condition, just alot of miles.

Just came in here yesterday.

Needs a 60k, maybe a clutch. It has never been tuned and has never had a recall reflash on it. It has the original type 13 ROM that came with the MR in Aug 05 (build date same as mine). Kind of rough, paint damage and some door dings. Needs tires. Good price but needs another 2-3k dumped into it.

If you do pick it up, we might be able to work a deal on swapping hoods and bumpers + cash on your end if you want.

I have a IX Graphite Grey front bumper and hood in excellent condition. This is assuming my VII front end ever actually arrives.

Im going to look at it this weekend. Sounds like it has never been serviced. That's kinda scary. I do body and paint for a living so chips and dents arnt a big deal. Im going to search these forums to see how many miles these engines can rack up before a rebuild. If it lasts another two years ( 40k for me ) it would give me time to save up enough for a new motor; trans and t case. I would only do it if they gave me 23.5 for my sti and came down to 15.8 on the evo.

I was wondering if this was somebody elses car, until somebody said it had never been serviced. A buddy of mine used an 06 GG MR for his company vehicle, but it was meticulously maintenanced, as his company paid for it.
