ER now Cobb pro tuners

As much business as guys like us have probably lost Cobb we are now joining forces. While I know its going to take us some time to pay this investment off I feel its a good step for our Business. I bought the Pro Tunner for all Cobb products, Mitsu, Subaru, Mazda, Mini, GTR. Have had a chance to play with ETS GTR last week which was pretty cool.

Ware I feel the Cobb will be cooler is guys on E85 since our EVO dual maps are not perfect due to shared injector latency and dangerous if on the wrong map and dont know it. The Cobb can be your flash cable/lap top in one, check codes and can be kept in the car easy un like a lap top. So while most of our Customers may not need it could be a option for some.

We have a Mazda shop Cork sport by us that we are going to start building maps for.

Advertise on the mazdasnw forum too if you haven't man, not a huge difference in drive time for the northerners, but there a lot of MS3's out there in need of a tune.

Interesting... while I'm not a Cobb advocate, I can see losing business in the Northwest to certain shops. You guys are some of the best tuners in the country and to not be able to tune all Evos the way the customer likes isn't a great thing.

I'm really happy to hear ER is taking another step towards the tuning community.

So for us e85 guys does this mean an access port can be loaded with your tunes? I think a COBB flash would be a downgrade.

Well at the moment the SD stuff cant get on the Cobb trying to change that. It would really only be a good deal for the guy who does not have or want a lap top in his car to switch tunes.

We are trying to get all our maps converted so people who have Cobb can keep it if they like.

Lucas-

Since you are now a cobb tuner, can you solve my issue with the tune you gave me. I have a rough idle and when the AC is on and idling, it dies. You told me it was the Cobb intake I have. Since you are a Cobb tuner now, are you able to make the intake work with an opensource tune. This really sucks not being able to use my AC in traffic. I really dont want to pay for an AP and a new tune.

I have been patient. Also I asked Lucas this. What are your thought on this Lucas? Do you think that you will be able to get the cobb intake working with your tune for my Evo X? I like the Cobb parts and hate to play the switching intake game. Let me know. You know I am in no rush. This is the first time I mentioned this since the tune some months ago.

Unfortunately, the issue lies with the intake not the tune.

It's a hardware/mechanical part, not a software/tuning issue.

The COBB tuning software is not much different than what we have been using.

Myles responding for Lucas....
