Full tank of good gas with fuel stabilizer in it, Disconnect the battery, Put on some crap tires you don't mind rotting out, and fresh oil wouldn't hurt. Did that before my last deployment and it fired right up when i got home... Be Safe while away and best luck

I actually have a friend who runs a company who specializes in storing vehicles for armed forces members who are deployed. PM me if you want more information.

i've only put amsoil in my car and i usually change it about 2-3 before you leave so it can get in all the nooks and crannies. I'm pretty sure the fuel stabilizer is from lucas. i don't remember, got it from napa if that helps. i know all the major car part stores have them available. JDZNate has a good point too, there are services that take care of vehicles in climate controlled storage. A bit pricy in some areas, but they guarantee your car is in good hands.

I did what t5caveman did for my last deployment, had the car on jacks and removed the battery. when i got back i just did an oil change, did a good priming of the engine and turbo and she started right up.

for my RB 240sx i drained the oil, preload the filter with oil, pour in new oil, disconnect the Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) so it won't fire the spark plugs, pull the fuel pump fuse so it won't flood the engine, crank it for a few seconds twice or so, reconnect everything and start the car up normally. Haven't deploy with the EVO yet but it should work the same.

Be safe and hopefully you'll be enjoying some tax free pay
