Valve spring & retainer choice?

Im still debating whats going to work well for GSC s2's. I know the GSC beehive springs and retainers w/ seats will do the job but i've been offered great deals on the following, please comment with your personal experience's, on these or your own set up for 272's or higher thanks!

GSC Beehive - valve springs only
FP beehive - valve springs only
Brian Crower - Single Valve springs & Ti retainers
Supertech - Single Valve springs & Ti retainers

Yes I know kiggly is probably the best out there but for my set up and I don't plan on goin past 8,500. Kiggly would just be over kill for me. I'm tryin to find something more suitable for my setup and rpm range, thanks for your opinion tho Jason!

first off BC springs suck.

Supertechs are pretty good....

I would personally run the GSC springs out of the 3 options you have...

And I would rather run the kiggly's and never have to change the springs.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'm in the same boat. I'd like to get 400-450HP/TQ. I have no plans to rev over 7500 RPM's. I just got the GSC S2 and decided not to get springs. If we decide to go with this amount of HP/TQ and not revving past 7500 RPM's are springs necessary?

so im considering either the GSC or FP valve springs. i've done some research im these 2 and ppl that use them seem to be happy with them. From what i've read these are good up to 9k, which is more than i need! both very reasonable price as well.

You wont need springs. Upgraded springs are for preventing valve float when reving above the stock rev limit. It will be a PITA if the mod bug bites again and you do want to rev higher.

Just wondering, what's the benefit of S2 over S1 if not revving over 7500rpm? Is there still more gain to be had for S2 over 6k rpm?

You will still get a bit more top end power 6k-7500rpms with the higher duration/higher lift S2's. IMO, S1's should really only be used for Auto-X/short sprint type applications where the driver is looking to maintain the most low end power while getting a slight gain in top end power over stock cams. S2's don't effect low end power much (if at all) and even those would be a good choice over the S1's for that purpose.
